Enter The Blue Sky
September 7, 2024 A 2019 San Diego Music Award nominee, Enter the Blue Sky is a collection of dedicated instrumentalists in support of passionate storytelling at its best. Playful and lighthearted at times, the majority of their sound is a blend of poetry, and original and unique melodies that make room for reminiscing and musing, and encourage the listener to journey with them. Supported by warm inflections and textures, the sincerity of the lyrics and the band's delivery is nuanced and powerful at the same time. Award-winning vocalist and songwriter Sandé Lollis writes all songs for the band. Her performance is raw and emotional, and wholly uplifting. Sandé's lyrics are thoughtful and speak to all generations, her melodies are hard to forget, moving and soulful. As rhythm guitarist and lead singer for Enter the Blue Sky, Sandé is an indomitable spark of energy and melodic bliss. Not a back burner type, Karen Childress-Evans on viola, jumps in with both feet and keeps smiling. A refreshing and innovative team player, she brings achingly beautiful tones and a classic sensibility to the project. Backing vocalist Tina Dee adds an enthusiastic undercurrent of harmonies suited perfectly to Sandé's leads, and to three-part with Karen making for transcendent moments of joy. Her voice is smooth and buttery, and puts a delicate finish on each song. Each member of Enter the Blue Sky is committed to creating a welcoming and rich soundscape, fitting together like pieces of a musical puzzle. The talent and experience of the band is showcased collectively, as well as with lush and stirring solos. We invite you to listen often. Yes, Kate Wolf Music Festival. You meet the most incredible musicians at music festivals. Enjoy them here https://www.enterthebluesky.com |

Our Story...
Robbie and Christie love going to music festivals. After seeing Corinne West at the Live Oak Music festival we became fans. We found Corinne at a house concert in Atascadero and traveled north to see her. Nothing beats sitting in someone's living room, ten feet away
from an artist as they sing directly to you. After the show we asked her if she would consider doing a house concert in the Big Bear Valley and she said YES. At the time we lived in a 875 square foot house, so of course we had to build a bigger house in order to have our treasured house concerts.
This started our adventure of designing and building a new home in Baldwin Lake,
California, which we have named Piñon Hill because our hilltop home is surrounded by Piñon (pinyon) trees. Our new home is powered by 20 solar panels, which means "green" music. Our concerts are now outdoors in our forest on our terraced stage.
Concert Details
Our events are ZERO WASTE. No trash - pack it in, pack it out, everything recycled or composted. Guests are asked to bring their own chair, picnic, and drinks.
Our house concert donation is $20 per person. All donations go directly to the artist(s). We are NOT a public venue and
attendance is by invitation only. We have a mailing list of friends, family, and local music lovers.
Contact us at Christie's email below to be added to our private mailing list. The address to the concert is provided to registered guests only.
